Lexi Cord Heart Ring

Description

Placenta or umbilical cord ring because our babies are only small for a moment. They gain their independence so quickly starting from when the umbilical cord is cut separating them from your shared placenta. We will cast a tiny bit of your baby’s cord stump or dried placenta powder into a Lexi Cord Heart Ring with umbilical cord or placenta solid silver ring encased in crystal clear UV resin. There’s a really informative DIY placenta encapsulation video here on YouTube but please be warned, it’s very graphic!

You can pick one of our colour mixes, or choose “classic cord” for a piece set in clear resin with a white background. Click on this colour options page to see more info about each variation, including how we place each of the colours and shimmers. Each piece will look unique because of the natural colours of the umbilical cord and placenta powder and we can’t predict the results. Colours vary from white to red, black, pink and brown and everything in between.

You can add a first curl as an additional element to any of our umbilical cord and placenta keepsake pieces, just write what you’d like in the box above.

We’ll send you a kit a week or so after you order and here’s some advice on sending it in, please read it. It’s really important you keep some ash back and don’t send too much. “Less is more” with keepsake jewellery.

Lexi Cord Heart Ring Setting

These rings are cast for Nikki in solid sterling silver, minimum 925 purity and are less likely to tarnish than sterling. If you’d prefer to DIY this ring then please see the listing on our sister site Keepsaker Supplies and order it as a memorial DIY kit!

Ring Size

You can choose “send sizer” from the ring size dropdown above and we will post one out with your kit. It’s no extra charge. Please do not use a tape measure to find your ring size, we’ll send you a sizer free of charge with your kit!

Ring Engraving

Engraving can be done in Arial font as standard, Times New Roman, or Silver South Serif, Bugaki, Gabrielly, Monotype Corsiva, Lucida Calligraphy, Eyelash and Mordova. Please remember the band is quite slim so the letters must be small. We don’t recommend image engraving or handwriting fonts like Vivaldi, Amazone BT or Silver South Script because they would be too small to read. Click on each font to see it “in action” with your chosen words. We can work with any font, please get in touch to discuss alternatives. You can even request emojis or icons, just write *heart* or [heart icon] because sometimes the ones on a phone or tablet aren’t accepted when you try to add to basket!

Engraving is done on the inside of our bands as standard, please let us know in the comments if you’d prefer it on the outside.
