Description
Hannah Blood Ring for any size finger
With a small nick, you can wear your loved one’s blood
More than just adornment, this unique piece of jewellery offers a deeply personal connection, embedding a trace of your loved one’s essence within its design. Crafted with reverence and care, a tiny sample of their blood is delicately incorporated, creating a tangible and intimate keepsake.
This is jewellery imbued with meaning, a wearable symbol of connection, memory, or a bond held dear. Whether it marks a significant moment, commemorates a loved one or a life taken too soon, or celebrates your own life force, this piece becomes a profound and individual expression.
You can see Nikki’s YouTube tutorials here and know that I never film without your permission. I’m considered an expert and offer advanced courses in making keepsake and memorial jewellery, so you’re in safe hands. You might see my designs and stock images elsewhere because other artists buy them from me over on Keepsaker Supplies (you’re welcome to buy from there if you’d rather DIY!)
blood jewellery colour options
You can pick one of our colour mixes, the “dragon’s blood red” is most popular because it honours the original colour of the blood, which appears in the jewellery as reddish brown or black flecks. Click on this colour options page to see more info about each variation, including how we place each of the colours and shimmers.
adding hair
You can add a lock of hair as an additional element to any of our blood jewellery keepsake pieces, just write what you’d like in the box above.
blood sending kits
We’ll send you a kit a week or so after you order and here’s some advice on sending it in, please read it. It’s really important you don’t try to draw too much, and you keep some back in case it’s lost in the post. “Less is more” with keepsake jewellery.
*tw baby loss* If you are looking for a loss piece for a baby or child then please email Nikki on info@treeofopals.com who will try to reply straight away. There are some instructions on our Baby Memorial Jewellery page on how to save miscarriage blood and cord blood if your baby is to be born sleeping including time sensitive information on stopping it from spoiling. If in doubt, freeze the blood or fabric straight away.
Blood Teardrop Ring
Hannah Umbilical Cord Ring Setting
These rings are cast by hand in Scotland from a design Nikki developed for Tree of Opals and their other business, Keepsaker Supplies. Stacking rings can be worn next to one-another and collected just like charm beads. We use Argentium silver for the Hannah Umbilical Cord Ring all of our ring bands, which is a little purer than sterling and are less likely to tarnish than sterling. If you’d prefer to DIY this ring then please see the listing here on our sister site Keepsaker Supplies and order it as a breastmilk DIY kit!
Ring Size
You can choose “send sizer” from the ring size dropdown above and we will post one out with your kit. It’s no extra charge. These are comfort fit bands so if you’re in between two sizes, just select the smaller size; they can be easily enlarged in seconds by any jeweller! Please do not use a tape measure to find your ring size, we’ll send you a sizer free of charge with your kit (see our T’s and C’s for more info on ring sizing). If you think you may be smaller than a size M or larger than a size T then please order a Plus Size Ring Sizer here before ordering the ring itself to check, we can refund this if you order and send it back with your kit. Our handmade breastmilk ring here can be made in any size.
Ring Engraving
Engraving can be done in Arial font as standard, Times New Roman, or Silver South Serif but please remember the band is quite slim so the letters must be small. We don’t recommend image engraving or handwriting fonts like Vivaldi, Amazone BT or Silver South Script because they would be too small to read. Click on each font to see it “in action” with your chosen words. We can work with any font, please get in touch to discuss alternatives.Copy and paste these emojis, sometimes the ones on a phone or tablet aren’t accepted when you try to add to basket!
❤ ☀ ☾ ★ ☽ ∞ ♫ 💧 🐾 👣
Engraving is done on the inside of our bands as standard, please let us know in the comments if you’d prefer it on the outside. We have blogs with memorial quotes here and baby and breastfeeding quotes here. For image engraving see this page – you can add handwriting, fingerprints, footprints, paw prints and handprints or a special pattern.
