Gold Filled Hair Ring handmade with resin. Photos don’t show every detail so we can cast your loved ones’ hair, your little one’s first curl or a little of your pets’ fur into a gold lock of hair ring with crystal clear resin.

We will respectfully cast only your loved one’s hair or fur into resin and give you a choice of stones. You can see Nikki’s YouTube tutorials here and know that I never film without your permission. I’m considered an expert and offer advanced courses in making memorial jewellery, so you’re in safe hands. You can view our colour option galleries here (click) for lots of examples of pieces using that colour mix. Each piece will look unique because of the natural colours of the hair or fur and we can’t predict the results and we must use colour (you can’t choose clear resin). We will use our best efforts with white hair, which is clear in resin, to give the hair some depth and bounce some light off the strands. If you’d like us to use grey, white, salt and pepper or very light blonde hair in the Megan Lock of Hair Ring then it may or may not show up in the resin, have a look at this white hair gallery

Optional Extras

You can request some extras in your piece by clicking here. For example, our forget me not flower and gold leaf are very popular – please make sure you see the example photos (as always) to ensure you have a good idea of how they might look. Usually, less is more!

We’ll send you a kit a week or so after you order and here’s some advice on sending it in, please read it. It’s really important you keep some hair back just in case. You can send us a photo on our Facebook page of the amount you have, so we can tell you how much of it we need.

Rolled Gold or Gold Filled Hair Ring

Rolled Gold Ring Settings

A rolled gold lock of hair or fur ring available in sizes F-Z+5, other size available on request. We will make your ring with an 8mm round bezel cup but you can request a 10x8mm oval smooth bezel cup by letting us know in the comments. Please note, these larger oval bezel cups are not as secure as the 8mm round and might be prone to being knocked off. Please take good care of your piece and follow all care instructions! These will not be hallmarked and are not solid gold. Our twisted band is 2mm wide and made of 1mm wire of 14ct rolled gold wire, bubble wire and classic bands are 1.8mm wire. Textured, satin or tree bark is 3x1mm wire but we can do 4×0.8mm if you prefer, please let us know in the comments. If you’d like a satin or tree bark ring please choose textured and add a comment.

engraving your gold fur or hair ring

Unfortunately I don’t recommend engraving gold filled jewellery as it can cause the gold layer to peel. I would not recommend you have the piece traditionally or laser engraved.

Ring Size

You can choose “send sizer” from the ring size dropdown above and we will post one out with your kit. It’s no extra charge. Please do not use a tape measure!
