Black Ceramic Hair Ring for men and suitable for everybody, made with resin. We can place your loved ones’ hair, your little one’s first curl or a little of your pets’ fur into a ring with crystal clear resin. Using locks of human hair in jewellery has a long and rich tradition in many cultures which you can read more about in this Wiki article.

We will respectfully cast only your loved one’s hair or fur into resin. You can see Nikki’s YouTube tutorials here and know that I never film without your permission. I’m considered an expert and offer advanced courses in making memorial jewellery, so you’re in safe hands. You might see my designs and stock images elsewhere because other memorial artists buy them from me over on Keepsaker Supplies (you’re welcome to buy from there if you’d rather DIY!)

You can view our colour option galleries here (click) for lots of examples of pieces using that colour mix. Each piece will look unique because of the natural colours of the hair or fur and we can’t predict the results and we must use colour (you can’t choose clear resin). We will use our best efforts with white hair, which is clear in resin, to give the hair some depth and bounce some light off the strands. If you’d like us to use grey, white, salt and pepper or very light blonde hair in the Megan Lock of Hair Ring then it may or may not show up in the resin, have a look at this white hair gallery

You can request some extras in your piece by clicking here. For example, our forget me not flower and gold leaf are very popular – please make sure you see the example photos (as always) to ensure you have a good idea of how they might look. Usually, less is more!

We’ll send you a kit a week or so after you order and here’s some advice on sending it in, please read it. It’s really important you keep some hair back just in case. You can send us a photo on our Facebook page of the amount you have, so we can tell you how much of it we need.

Ring Material

This ring is made from tough ceramic, which is not a precious metal. If you’d prefer solid silver click here or for solid gold click here. If your ceramic ring becomes chipped, luckily it will usually be hard to notice due to the colour running all the way through.

Polished Black Ceramic Ring with Channel Groove

Our Black Ceramic Channel Rings are sophisticated, modern and bold. They have smoothed edges and an easy to put on comfort fit band, they’re scratch-resistant and waterproof, non-conductive and hypoallergenic. Found just below diamond on the Mohs hardness scale, this material is tough, strong and almost completely scratch-proof. The charcoal black colour of our black ceramic rings gives a rugged, industrial or gothic aesthetic. It is nickel-free and metal-free, corrosion and tarnish-free and completely hypoallergenic, making it safe for even the most sensitive skin. They’re also temperature stable, they don’t get hot in the sun or super cold in the winter like metal rings.

Ring Size

You can choose “send sizer” from the ring size dropdown above and we will post one out with your kit. It’s no extra charge. As the band is 5mm wide it will automatically be made a size bigger to allow for the width. Flat bands are popular options for cremation jewelry for men and we can make any size up to Z+8 or more. Please do not use a tape measure! Request an Inclusive Ring Sizer if you think your size might be smaller or larger than the usual sizer. Engraving is done in Arial font as standard, but please let us know if you’d prefer another font such as Times New Roman, Vivaldi, Amazone BT, or Silver South Serif & Script in the comments of the product before adding it to the basket. Click on each font to see it “in action” with your chosen words. We can work with any font, please get in touch to discuss alternatives. Write *heart emoji* instead of trying to type or paste it in.
