Memorial Engagement Rings are a lovely way to honour your loved ones’ memories whilst starting a new chapter of your lives together. They are a physical way to symbolise the ongoing love you shared with someone who has passed whilst showing the depth of your love for someone who will be with you for the rest of your journey. We have some engagement ring examples here.

Cremation Ashes and Hair Rings: A Timeless Tribute
Why Choose a Memorial Engagement Ring?
- An Everlasting Tribute: Memorial engagement rings serve as a perfect reminder of the impact on your life from the person who passed away.
- A New Journey Together: The ring symbolises your ongoing love story, even in the face of grief.
- A Special Expression of Love: You can customise the ring to reflect someone’s birthstone, your experiences together, and to show your bond.
Incorporating a Loved One’s Lock of Hair or Ashes
There are so many ways to include a loved one’s memory into your engagement ring:
- Lock of Hair: Send us a few strands of hair, usually a funeral home is happy to give you a lock if someone has recently passed
- Cremation Ashes: We need less than half a teaspoon of ashes to make a cremains ring
- Fabric: Some clients send us fabric from a wedding dress, tie or teddy bear to include in resin
- Birthstone Integration: You can ask for crushed birthstone or their birthstone colour to represent their birth month
- Laser Engraving: Engrave a memorial quote, a special date, or a set of initials on the inside of the band along with emojis like hearts, eternity symbols, moons and stars
- Precious Metal: We offer solid silver, solid gold and rolled gold for our designs
Finding your Perfect Memorial Engagement Ring
When selecting a memorial engagement ring, think about your loved one’s style and also your own preferences. The ring is a forever tribute to love so don’t worry about fashionable styles, choose something you can wear for years. I have been making and teaching memorial jewellery for almost a decade and I create rings by hand from scratch.
I started making YouTube tutorials teaching others how to make memorial and keepsake jewellery and started a second business selling all the supplies anyone could ever need to make the pieces themselves. I sell anything from a little DIY kit to make a lock of hair or ashes bead all the way up to business start-up kits costing thousands.
A Tribute to Love, Loss, and New Beginnings
A memorial engagement ring is more than just a piece of jewellery; it’s a powerful way to honour the past and look forward to new beginnings. By choosing a keepsake ring with ashes or hair, the optimism for your wedding shows you and your fiancé’s special relationship and respect for the person who has passed away.
