Description

Umbilical Cord Locket necklace with photo and engraving options. Our babies are only small for a moment. They gain their independence so quickly starting from when the umbilical cord is cut separating them from your shared placenta. We will cast a tiny bit of your baby’s cord stump or dried placenta powder into resin and give you a choice of orbs.

You can pick one of our eight colour mixes, or choose “classic cord” for a piece set in clear resin with a white background. Click on this colour options page to see more info about each variation, including how we place each of the colours and shimmers. Each piece will look unique because of the natural colours of the umbilical cord and placenta powder and we can’t predict the results. Colours vary from white to red, black, pink and brown and everything in between.

You can add a first curl as an additional element to any of our umbilical cord and placenta keepsake pieces, just write what you’d like in the box above.

We’ll send you a kit a week or so after you order and here’s some advice on sending it in, please read it. It’s really important you keep some back and don’t send too much. “Less is more” with keepsake jewellery.

Umbilical Cord Locket

This will be a 20mm heart or or 25x15mm oval setting. The setting for the heart necklace also includes a medium weight sturdy 20”/50cm sterling silver chain. You can swap the chain for one of our Necklace Chain Upgrades up to £25 in value, or recieve a £10 discount if you don’t need a chain at all.

Engraving

Add your text, up to 20 characters – upper and lower case, numbers and punctuation in Arial font (if you’d prefer another font please let us know in the comments box). It will be deep black professional engraving. Perhaps you can choose Roman numerals, birth, marriage or death coordinates, or messages of love and remembrance. Please write *heart emoji* instead of copy and pasting the symbol.

Bead Engraving

Engravable is done in Arial font as standard, but please let us know if you’d prefer another font such as Times New Roman, Vivaldi, Amazone BT, or Silver South Serif & Script in the comments of the product before adding it to the basket. Click on each font to see it “in action” with your chosen words. You can write *heart emoji* which works better than copy and pasting or adding an emoji to the basket!

Add your text, up to 60 characters – upper and lower case, numbers and punctuation in your chosen font. You can choose Roman numerals, birth, marriage or death coordinates (we’re happy to help you work that out), or messages of love, hope, and remembrance. We are even happy to include more “colourful” language!
