Photos don’t show every detail so we can cast your loved ones’ hair, your little one’s first curl or a little of your pets’ fur into a Solid Gold Hair Heart Necklace with crystal clear resin.
We will respectfully cast only your loved one’s hair or fur into resin and give you a choice of stones. You can see Nikki’s YouTube tutorials here and know that I never film without your permission. I’m considered an expert and offer advanced courses in making memorial jewellery, so you’re in safe hands. You might see my designs and stock images elsewhere because other memorial artists buy them from me over on Keepsaker Supplies (you’re welcome to buy from there if you’d rather DIY!)
lock of hair colours
You can view our colour option galleries here (click here) for lots of examples of pieces using that colour mix. Each piece will look unique because of the natural colours of the hair or fur and we can’t predict the results. We will use our best efforts with white hair, which is clear in resin, to give the hair some depth and bounce some light off the strands. If you’d like us to use grey, white, salt and pepper or very light blonde hair then it may or may not show up in the resin, have a look at this gallery
We’ll send you a kit a week or so after you order and here’s some advice on sending it in, please read it. It’s really important you keep some hair back just in case. You can send us a photo on our Facebook page of the amount you have, so we can tell you how much of it we need.
Solid 14ct Gold Hair Heart Necklace Setting
The solid gold crown point heart setting is hallmarked with the Tree of Opals sponsor mark at the Birmingham Assay Office. They are cast for us in small batches and hand finished. They are 12mm heart shaped settings for a 10mm heart stone.
They come with an adjustable 18″/45cm very lightweight chain. If you already have a chain or would like to purchase solid gold chain from us here we are happy to give you a £20 discount on this necklace. They also make stunning dangle charms for Pandora or Thomas Sabo style bracelets, please get in touch to order (additional prices apply due to needing to be re-hallmarked).
Engraving
Engravable is done in Arial font as standard, but please let us know if you’d prefer another font such as Times New Roman, Vivaldi, Amazone BT, or Silver South Serif & Script in the comments of the product before adding it to the basket. Click on each font to see it “in action” with your chosen words. You can write *heart emoji* which works better than copy and pasting or adding an emoji to the basket!

Engraving is only available on a blank bead core. We have blogs with memorial quotes here and baby and breastfeeding quotes here
Add your text, up to 60 characters – upper and lower case, numbers and punctuation in your chosen font. You can choose Roman numerals, birth, marriage or death coordinates (we’re happy to help you work that out), or messages of love, hope, and remembrance. We are even happy to include more “colourful” language!
adding ashes
You can add a lock of hair as an additional element to any of our ash pieces, for example if you’d like a cremation ash and hair gold teardrop then order this and add hair as an additional element.
