Description
Gold Breastmilk Orb cast from just your milk in UV resin. Breastmilk jewellery is a stunning way to remember the close bond you and your little one share. You can find a great La Leche League article on the wonderful properties of human milk here. You can add an additional element like baby’s first curl, umbilical cord or placenta powder too if you like.
We will carefully cast only your breastmilk into into resin and give you a choice of beads. You can see Nikki’s YouTube tutorials here and know that I never film without your permission. I’m considered an expert and offer advanced courses in making breastmilk jewellery, so you’re in safe hands. You might see my designs and stock images elsewhere because other breastmilk artists buy them from me over on Keepsaker Supplies (you’re welcome to buy from there if you’d rather DIY!)
Breastmilk Sending Kits
We’ll send you a kit a week or so after you order and here’s some advice on sending it in, please read it. It’s really important you keep some milk in the freezer while waiting for your kit, and after you send then keep some back just in case. 15ml is plenty as we will send you two pots. If you prefer you can fill one for us (7ml) and retain the other in your own freezer, it’s very rare we need the second backup pot and this gives low supply clients some extra security.
Gold Breastmilk Orb colour options
boobie awards
Boobie awards are a way to celebrate the length of time you’ve been feeding your little one, from amethyst for “we tried our best” to ruby for three years and onwards. For the full Boobie Awards page click here.
sparkle mixes
You can choose to include one of our highly pigmented resin colour sparkle mixes to tint your milk, or one of our new breastmilk pearly sparkle mixes. The pearly sparkle mixes are very subtle and will give your milk a hint of colour in certain lights. All of our resin sparkle mixes contain ethical and synthetic mica (free from child mining), plant based eco glitters and opalescent flakes and are hand blended by Nikki.
Gold Breastmilk Orb Setting Options
1. Gold Breastmilk Orb Necklace Setting
The setting for the breastmilk orb necklace also includes a lightweight 18”/45cm solid gold chain in yellow gold or rose gold, but you can upgrade to a more secure, different style or longer chain here. We highly recommend this! You can also get beautiful pre-loved chains on Ebay and from antique shops, either way we think it’s a good idea especially if you have little ones who like to pull necklaces. We can’t replace or repair a broken lightweight chain, but we are happy to give you a discount on a chain upgrade.
2. Breastmilk Orb Dangle Charm Settings
You can choose a charm bead setting for European (Pandora style) for snake chain bracelets and necklaces, or 9mm lobster clasp (Thomas Sabo style) for large link bracelets and necklaces. You’ll find our charm bead upgrades here including engraved accessories and bracelets.
engraving
Our orb settings are too small to engrave but you can add a laser engraved solid gold pendant here.
orb size
This listing is for a single 11mm “orb” pearl/sphere which now comes with hand wire wrapped bail, made from a handmade 6mm base domed headpin. The base is flat shiny solid gold domed disc around 6mm wide with a 0.8mm wire headpin. Please read the Terms and Conditions fully before you order and be sure to realise this setting looks and feels handmade and won’t have mass-produced perfection.
The loop on the top is custom made to suit your setting. If you choose a lobster clasp or European dangle charm setting the loop will be made very small and the setting added as it’s being made. If you choose a necklace chain setting, the loop will be large enough to fit on that necklace, if you have a necklace upgrade then the loop will be large enough for that chain. If you wish to use your own chain, please let us know its maximum width to the nearest 0.5mm when you order, and we will make the loop large enough. Please see the product image gallery for examples.
