Getting the Perfect Lock of Hair
After you order, we’ll send you a kit that’s included in the price. It has full instructions and it’s so easy to return, here’s a copy of our sending inclusions instructions.
To cut hair from a person or pet, cut a small amount of hair from an inconspicuous spot. You can weave in and out of the hair to pick up strands that aren’t all from the same spot. Cut short hair at the roots, or a length of 10cm at most.
If you already have hair or fur then please send us a photo of the lock next to a penny or other coin and we’ll tell you how much we need. Tie it with cotton thread and place it in the labelled pot or add your name and order number to a bag, put in the hair and send us a photo.
- Do NOT: use tape, or glue to tie the hair, as this contaminates the sample.
- The Packaging: ALWAYS keep some back in case it’s lost in the post
