Keepsake and Memorial Rings: A direct link to your heart
If you’re looking for a comforting, high-quality piece of memorial jewellery here at Tree of Opals we offer rings made out of cremation ashes and locks of hair and fur from your deceased loved ones.
Ten Years of Keepsakes
Losing a loved one is awful. Nothing can fix the pain or make it better. Sometimes when someone asks “how are you?”, even the most gentle of us want to give them a good kick. I can’t stop it hurting but I can help you keep a little bit of them with you every day with a memorial ring. My team and I have been creating these beautiful keepsake rings for a decade! We totally understand how precious the inclusions are, and we treat every single order with the care it deserves.
- My Promise: this guide will help you to understand all of the stunning options we offer to create your personal lifetime keepsake

Here at Tree of Opals our keepsake and memorial rings are handmade from scratch and each one is 100% custom and bespoke. In our Bath jewellery studio we usually start with a piece of silver or gold sheet and wire, and finish by polishing each one by hand. They’re not perfect-looking mass-produced settings, they are full of love and character and I want to show you why I’m so passionate about them.
What Makes a Memorial Ring So Meaningful?
- The Whole: They aren’t just rings; they hold a part of your journey.
- Inclusions: You can send in cremation ashes, hair and fur, blood, fabric, umbilical cord and placenta, IVF and early loss inclusions, earth or dried petals, all inclusions considered.
- The Comfort: Your memorial ring is a personal keepsake that can be worn on any finger, it’s a link to your heart
Our rings are completely size inclusive, from a UK size A to a Z+16, that’s a US size 1 to a size 20 and beyond.
Picking Your Perfect Setting with our Precious Metals
We offer handmade solid silver in 925 sterling and even the purer Argentium silver, which is tarnish resistant. For those who prefer to wear gold but have a budget there’s our gold filled options, an affordable middle ground with a thick layer of gold. For the ultimate heirloom choice for a lifetime of wear, you could choose hallmarked solid gold, but you’re welcome to pay by instalments.

I started Tree of Opals over a decade ago after my dad and my baby passed away within a few years of each other. I wasn’t able to keep either of their ashes and I knew for certain that I would have wanted cremation ashes jewellery if I could have done. I offer free engraving (yay!) because I’m the proud owner of a powerful laser engraver, so I can even offer engraving with priority order slots. You can add your loved one’s name, a date, or a message. I have have a blog with memorial quotes here or gift engraving ideas here.
- Handwriting Magic: This is huge! Did you know we can take a sample of your loved one’s actual handwriting and put it on a wider band? For image engraving see this page – you can also add fingerprints, footprints, paw prints and handprints or a special pattern.
