Breast Milk Jewellery When Every Drop Counts
Breastfeeding is a beautiful way we can continue to nourish our babies after they’re born. And whether it’s a single pumping session or a decade nursing siblings, your journey absolutely is valuable. Every drop counts! Breast milk jewellery can help you remember and keep a physical connection to that journey.
Behind the Scenes
In 2013 my eldest daughter Ayla was born and spent two weeks on NICU (neonatal intensive care), and our breast feeding journey was tough. With many factors affecting the support we got, I was very traumatised by the end of it. I reached out to the only establised breast milk jewellery company at the time here in the UK and was treated like my questions were an annoyance and that if I couldn’t send in 60ml (two ounces) then I just couldn’t have any jewellery. I didn’t get any support or alternatives, which is why I make sure that I teach a method that’s suitable for someone even if it’s just a single drop!!!

We Wrote The Book on Breast Milk Jewellery
By the time my middle child was born in 2015, I saved colostrum ready to try and make my own. It was a long and difficult journey. Many of the breastmilk jewellers who had started to establish themselves across the world were secretive about the methods they used. I now teach a free professional Basic Breastmilk jewellery Course and there’s a module on “methods that don’t work”. I sell an easy-to-use powder because I want other mums and small businesses to be able to support themselves financially with this beautiful art. I’m currently writing a book about memorial and breast milk jewellery, watch this space!
So if you’d like a commemoration of that sacrifice please have a look at our breastmilk jewelry range. Whether it’s classic breastmilk in a simple silver setting or a vibrantly tinted swirl in a hallmarked solid gold piece, we can offer you the choice.
Personalising Your Memory
A “liquid gold” stone is beautiful on its own, but personalisation makes it an heirloom. Our text engraving is free of charge and so are our birthstones and boobie awards. A birthstone can represent the child’s birth month, while engraving can capture a name, a date, or a “milestone” (e.g., “6 Months Exclusive”). There are no hidden costs becasue here at Tree of Opals, these additions are free. It’s your way of ensuring the piece is as unique as the nursing journey it represents. Even the sending kit is totally free of charge!

Precious Metal
Solid Silver and Gold: The classic choice for a “forever” piece. These metals are timeless and can be polished for decades to come. We also offer black ceramic channel rings: high-contrast and modern and the stark black of the ceramic makes the creamy white of the breast milk “pop” beautifully.
The Personal Touch
We are a small, heart-led business. Owned by autistic mum Nikki, with Joanna as customer service manager, and other mums helping both in the workshop and based at home. You’re welcome to book an appointment to bring your milk in person to our workshop in Timsbury, Bath, during school hours. From One Mum to Another: because we balance the business with our own families, we understand the value of time and the importance of these memories.
When you choose Tree of Opals, you are choosing the person who teaches the rest of the industry how it’s done. See our Breast milk jewellery here and once you order we’ll send you a free kit with instructions to post in your milk. You can order from around the world and orders take about two months on average but please let us know before you order if you need it before then.
