The Christmas market is a beautiful celebration of artisanal creations. Although there are some amazing jewellers there this year, nobody else can offer the level of customisation that we can. With same-day handmade engraved pieces containing birthstones and even a lock of hair and cremains.

The Process Step-by-Step:

Morning (The Calm): Customers visit our farm studio before heading into the city. It’s by appointment only this time of year so please call Nikki first on 07577 575017 to book.

The Consultation: This is where you get measured for ring sizes, choose your solid silver or gold-filled designs, select birthstones, provide handwriting samples for engraving, or hand over precious ashes/hair for memorial pieces.

Mid-Day (The Fun): You head into Bath to enjoy the Christmas Market, grab lunch, and soak up the atmosphere while we get to work. There’s even a park and ride in between.

Late Afternoon/Evening (The Reveal): You’ll return to the farm on your way home to collect the finished, beautifully packaged jewellery.
What We Create: The Perfect Personalised Gifts
Engraving & Handwriting: Turn an old birthday card message from a grandparent or a child’s drawing into wearable solid silver art. Beads, necklaces and rings can all have images
Birthstones & Metals: we have anti-tarnish solid silver and gold-filled options. Great for thoughtful gifts for partners or parents. We do solid gold too, but that’s got to be hallmarked so we can arrange for Special Delivery or collection another day
Memorial & Keepsake Jewellery: For so many of us, Christmas is a time to remember those who have passed away. We offer a private, quiet space to drop off ashes or hair in the morning, allowing us to craft respectful, beautiful memorial jewellery ready for you by evening.
Why Visit the Farm Studio Instead of Just the Stalls?
The city is beautiful and the Tree of Opals team are so lucky to live here. Bath is busy and exciting. At the Radford Mill Farm Nikki has a barn loft conversion next to a stream and a field full of sheep We might even be able to arrange for you to collect a veg box!
With our memorial consultations we prefer to have a calm and peaceful environment. You can get an accurate ring size away from the cold crowds and see how our beads fit on your Pandora bracelet. You’ll be buying directly from the maker, not a reseller at a stall. We have free parking (ok, it’s a little muddy, sorry!) and no walking involved. Due to the steps going up to the barn loft workshop, please let us know if you’d like to pre-arrange a step-free consultation.
Practical Information

Location: How far are we from the Bath Christmas Market? Parking availability in the city centre is not great, but Odd Down Park & Ride is 12 minutes away from our workshop. It’s £5.50 for a return for two adults into Bath city centre with buses every 15 minutes.

Due to school hours we may plan for you to collect from us from Nikki’s home near the city centre in the evening, or at the park and ride.

You’ll definitely need to work because Nikki works from home around Christmas when it’s a bit chilly at the barn
