Solid gold umbilical cord ring with cord stump or placenta powder. Our babies are only small for a moment. They gain their independence so quickly starting from when the umbilical cord is cut separating them from your shared placenta.
We will carefully cast only your cord or placenta into resin and give you a choice of stones. You can see Nikki’s YouTube tutorials here and know that I never film without your permission. Each piece will look unique because of the natural colour of your own baby’s cord or placenta and we can’t predict the results.

We’ll send you a kit a week or so after you order and here’s some advice on sending it in, please read it. It’s really important you keep some back, it’s very rare we need more sent but it gives you some extra security.
Solid Gold Umbilical Cord Ring
A solid gold handmade gold cremation ashes ring available in sizes I-Z+5, other size available on request*. We will make your ring with an 8mm round bezel cup but you can choose an 8x6mm oval serrated bezel cup by letting us know in the comments. The serrated cups may catch on clothing!
These will be hallmarked with the Tree of Opals hallmark from the Birmingham Assay Office to ensure the quality of our handmade goldsmithed jewellery. Our twisted band is 2.4mm wide and made of 1.2mm wire 9ct gold, bubble wire is 2mm wide 9ct gold, classic is 2mm round 9ct gold wire. D shaped wire is 14ct gold (textured, satin, shiny or tree bark). If you’d like satin, shiny or tree bark ring please choose textured and add a comment.

Engraving is done in Arial font as standard, but please let us know if you’d prefer another font such as Times New Roman, Vivaldi, Amazone BT, or Silver South Serif & Script in the comments of the product before adding it to the basket. Click on each font to see it “in action” with your chosen words. We can work with any font, please get in touch to discuss alternatives. We recommend Arial, Times New Roman or Silver South Serif for long messages, and handwriting fonts like Vivaldi, Amazone BT or Silver South Script are great for short messages and on larger pieces. Copy and paste these emojis, sometimes the ones on a phone or tablet aren’t accepted when you try to add to basket!

Engraving is done on the outside of our gold bands only. We have blogs with memorial quotes here and for image engraving see this page – you can add handwriting, partial fingerprints/footprints/paw prints/handprints or a special pattern.

My ring arrived today, after a very patient 5.5 month wait (which was within the stated 6 month wait time, so credit where its due at least we are made aware of this wait and to confirm we agree with it) – the contact with Nikki was faultless, i got to choose which cabochon i wanted in my ring, and she sent before and after photos, as well as the spare cabochon i had requested. i also got the excess hair back, which i wasn’t expecting but was great full for. The gold work is immaculate, and Nikkis Gold rings are by far the nicest i have found when in my search for a gold ring.
I will admit, because this is after all a review and there is no point not being completely honest, that i was expecting the cabochon to be maybe a little bit bigger on the band, it is very hidden inside the claws of the setting – none the less, this is a very understated ring, rather than being brazen, so it fits in very nicely with the rest of my everyday jewellery.
On the whole, im pleased. I wish i hadnt had to wait 5.5 months, but i did agree to it, and i know she is completely rushed off her feet. Nikki cares about her customers, her website is very easy to use, and i love the updates on the orders part, so i get to see at what stage my order is. and i will be ordering again in the future.
