Monmouth Breastmilk Jewellery - A Personal and Inclusive Keepsake Experience at Tree of Opals
Our workshop by Monnow Bridge, Monmouth, is a specialised sanctuary where memories are transformed into treasures you can hold. Tree of Opals is a small mum-owned business with a dedicated team of mums who have all walked the breastfeeding path. Our doors are open to absolutely everyone, and every feeding journey is honoured with respect and inclusivity.
The Local Monmouth Connection
I moved to Monmouth in 1997 and lived here until I went to Bristol for college. My mum's lived in Wyesham and helps run the Wyesham Warren Food Club. In 2017 I moved back and was running Tree of Opals from Bridges. Although I moved away again I've come back for good!
A Visit to the Workshop
and now we are at 2a Drybridge Street, Monmouth, NP25 5AD where Monnow Bridge Vets used to be. We have a large free car park and offer permanent jewellery as well as memorials. You can bring fresh breastmilk with you, or bring a pump and relax in a quiet room to express a few ml for your piece.

You can book your visit for within school hours (sometimes evenings and weekends by appointment). The workshop is wheelchair accessible with a small lip at the door. Toddlers and small children are welcome but please keep them close because it's a workshop with lots of big equipment that's not safe for unsupervised smalls.
A Neurodivergent Friendly Space
Tree of Opals is a neurodivergent-friendly and inclusive space. Whether you need a quiet atmosphere or specific communication styles, you are welcome and supported. I'm a disability-friendly employer and a space that celebrates all types of minds and bodies.
The Creative Experience and Customization
I even offer a "making your own breastmilk ring" experience day where you can get hands-on with your own preservation.
As pioneers of the boobie awards and with free engraving and free birthstone additions for breastmilk pieces we can offer something nobody else can. With designs like the Breastmilk Bead and the Gold Breastmilk Orb it's not just a wide selection of rings. I can also incorporate other precious elements like umbilical cord, placenta, and first curls into your designs.
Values and Ethics
I am committed to being a sustainable and ethical brand that pays the National Living Wage. We offer a size-inclusive range of handmade rings and invite clients to come in and try on samples to find their perfect fit. Supporting Tree of Opals means supporting a small business that prioritizes people and the planet. I recycle and have been blogging about ethics, fair trade, and sustainability in the industry since 2015, so it's not just greenwashing.
