Craft Fayres and Community

Now that the darkest days are over and we head towards summer again we will approach the Spring Equinox, also known as Not Entirely Equal Day and Night

On the equinoxes the Sun shines directly on the equator and the length of day and night is nearly equal – but not quite. The March equinox marks the moment the Sun crosses the celestial equator – the imaginary line in the sky above the Earth’s equator – from south to north and vice versa in September.

Craft Fayres and Community
Craft Fayres and Community events are in full swing now that Easter and the Spring Equinox approaches

Most cultures celebrate this in some way and in the Pagan/Christian United Kingdom we often use the symbology of the egg to show spring. Spring is new beginnings and a time for community. Here at Tree of Opals we’re pleased to announce moving into a new workshop on Monday and part of our new vision is to take part in more community events, locally, nationally and even internationally. We’re supporting other keepsake artists with the new supply shop Keepsaker and we will be doing more craft fayres.

Here’s a link to the fayre being organised by the fab Crafters’ Cavern and if you’re an artisan you can get in touch with them to take part in future fayres. What better way to support other small businesses too, because we all do our bit to share the event so we’re supporting one another and also finding some great things to buy (I’m so getting one of these beards from fellow crafter ArthursLamb)
